Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common disorder with over 3 million cases reported in the US per year. Carpal tunnel syndrome is the result of swelling in the tissues surrounding the flexor tendons in the wrist (called synovium), which puts pressure on the median nerve. This swelling narrows the confined space of the carpal tunnel crowds the nerve over time, resulting in symptoms including numbness, tingling, and pain in the hand, as well as other symptoms.

As a specialist in arthroscopic procedures of the wrist, Dr. Harakas can determine the best course of action for treating your carpal tunnel syndrome. Contact us today to make an appointment.
